Why Stock Photos?
The short answer is that we use stock photos on some listings to save us time and to save you money. The longer answer is that we love to take photos of each and every lens, camera, and accessory, but doing so takes a lot of time and makes it difficult to get everything listed. So, we decided to compromise: take gorgeous photos of some things and charge a little more for them, and use stock photos for other items and charge a little less for those, all else equal.
The items listed here were tested thoroughly by our trained technicians. If they observed any significant flaws, you’ll see them detailed above. If the items listed here are exceptionally awesome, you’ll see that noted above too. Regardless, please remember this is a used item and it’s bound to have at least a microscopic imperfection.
If you're interested in purchasing an item with specific photos and ratings, we don’t blame you one bit. Please visit one of our Exposed! listings (if available), usually marked with a green badge. If none are currently available, by all means, contact us.

The Canon 35mm f/2 IS USM
A modern day update to a versatile, compact, and lightweight wide-angle lens, the EF 35mm f/2 IS USM is incredibly bright and offers image stabilization, superb image quality, and solid construction. The EF 35mm f/2 IS USM features a GMo aspherical lens element for high image quality, an 8-blade, circular-aperture diaphragm for soft backgrounds, a minimum focusing distance of 0.79 ft./0.24m, and optimized lens coatings for minimized ghosting and flare.
A rear focus system and ring-type USM with micro-stepping drive provide faster, quieter, and more precise autofocus performance perfect for video. It has a four-stop Image Stabilizer system that detects panning and automatically switches to the optimal IS mode.Roger's Take
The third in the “IS prime trinity” along with the 24mm f/2.8 IS and 28mm f/2.8 IS lenses. Like those lenses, it is quite sharp even wide open and has excellent image stabilization and background blur. A very good lens at a slightly too-high price.
Truth is, I can see people wanting one of them. But unless you’re doing critical video work, I can’t see much reason for having more than one of them. Why did Canon make all three? I wonder about that. I also wonder, since I’m usually disheveled at work, whether when I dress up I'm "sheveled" or "heveled."
