Why Stock Photos?
The short answer is that we use stock photos on some listings to save us time and to save you money. The longer answer is that we love to take photos of each and every lens, camera, and accessory, but doing so takes a lot of time and makes it difficult to get everything listed. So, we decided to compromise: take gorgeous photos of some things and charge a little more for them, and use stock photos for other items and charge a little less for those, all else equal.
The items listed here were tested thoroughly by our trained technicians. If they observed any significant flaws, you’ll see them detailed above. If the items listed here are exceptionally awesome, you’ll see that noted above too. Regardless, please remember this is a used item and it’s bound to have at least a microscopic imperfection.
If you're interested in purchasing an item with specific photos and ratings, we don’t blame you one bit. Please visit one of our Exposed! listings (if available), usually marked with a green badge. If none are currently available, by all means, contact us.

The Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
With this lens, Canon gives us a 10x zoom for EF-S mount cameras (EOS T4i, 7D, 60D).Its four-stop equivalent IS provides an excellent one-lens solution for vacation or walk-around shooting. The lens definitely has a bit of barrel distortion at the wide end, and while it has excellent center sharpness, it gets a bit soft around the edges. In other words, it’s what you might expect from a good 10x zoom.
Let’s face it: a superzoom is kind of like a moped. It’s practical, reliable transportation and can be a lot of fun, but you feel a little embarrassed when a Harley pulls up next to you at a stop light.
This is a practical, reliable, and extremely convenient lens with pretty decent image quality. I take it on vacation with a T4i quite a bit for a one-lens, one-camera solution. Although, I then cringe when someone stands next to me with a 5D MkII and a 70-200 f/2.8 IS then looks over at me with that smug look. I try really hard not to say something stupid like “I left my 500 f/4 L at home this trip.”
