Why Stock Photos?
The short answer is that we use stock photos on some listings to save us time and to save you money. The longer answer is that we love to take photos of each and every lens, camera, and accessory, but doing so takes a lot of time and makes it difficult to get everything listed. So, we decided to compromise: take gorgeous photos of some things and charge a little more for them, and use stock photos for other items and charge a little less for those, all else equal.
The items listed here were tested thoroughly by our trained technicians. If they observed any significant flaws, you’ll see them detailed above. If the items listed here are exceptionally awesome, you’ll see that noted above too. Regardless, please remember this is a used item and it’s bound to have at least a microscopic imperfection.
If you're interested in purchasing an item with specific photos and ratings, we don’t blame you one bit. Please visit one of our Exposed! listings (if available), usually marked with a green badge. If none are currently available, by all means, contact us.

The Lytro Illum Light Field Camera
The Lytro Illum Light Field Camera is an alternative digital camera that allows focus adjustment post-capture. Key features include:
40 Megaray Light Field CMOS Sensor. This sensor features a micro-lens array on top of a CMOS sensor, which diverts the light rays to different pixels on the sensor, capturing the angular variation among the rays. This translates to approximately 4MP in a standard still image. The use of a Snapdragon 801 processor provides speedy response time considering the large amount of computation that is occurring.
8x Fast Zoom Lens. With a focal length equivalent to 30-250mm, the Illum gives users plenty of zoom range. The constant f/2 aperture provides both shallow depth of field and great low-light performance.
Large Rear LCD. The 4.0", back-lit, tilting, touchscreen LCD gives users a great interface for image capture and review. What Makes This Special. Like its predecessor the Lytro Light Field Camera, the Illum gives users the ability to adjust both focus and perspective after image capture. The “image files” are interactive--users can adjust focus and perspective to their heart’s content with the free software, then export a traditional 4MP JPEG image. The camera writes images to SDHC/XC memory cards.
