Why Stock Photos?
The short answer is that we use stock photos on some listings to save us time and to save you money. The longer answer is that we love to take photos of each and every lens, camera, and accessory, but doing so takes a lot of time and makes it difficult to get everything listed. So, we decided to compromise: take gorgeous photos of some things and charge a little more for them, and use stock photos for other items and charge a little less for those, all else equal.
The items listed here were tested thoroughly by our trained technicians. If they observed any significant flaws, you’ll see them detailed above. If the items listed here are exceptionally awesome, you’ll see that noted above too. Regardless, please remember this is a used item and it’s bound to have at least a microscopic imperfection.
If you're interested in purchasing an item with specific photos and ratings, we don’t blame you one bit. Please visit one of our Exposed! listings (if available), usually marked with a green badge. If none are currently available, by all means, contact us.

The Metabones Canon EF Lens to Sony E Adapter IV
The Metabones Canon EF Lens to Sony E Adapter IV is the latest iteration of the Metabones Smart Adapter for EF to E. Like the previous Metabones Canon EF Lens to Sony NEX Camera Adapter III, the Mark IV is full-frame compatible with items such as the Sony a7 / a7R / a7S and NEX-VG900.
New to the Mark IV vs. the Mark III - A new design of the inner housing in the Mark IV features a larger opening, improving functionality when using Tilt-Shift lenses. Also, a matte black coating has been applied to the inner housing, further reducing internal reflections that can cause flare.
Canon EF Lens To Sony E Camera. This adapter allows you to mount Canon EF mount lenses to the Sony E-mount cameras and camcorders. It offers full-frame coverage, making it the go-to Canon adapter for use with the a7 / a7R / a7S.
Electronic Communication. It gives full control of aperture when shooting in A and M exposure modes, or lets the camera control aperture if shooting in P or S exposure modes. Not only do you have aperture control, but it’s also imbedded in the EXIF data. The Metabones adapter also supports the Image Stabilization function of compatible lenses, allowing you to shoot at slower shutter speeds while helping to eliminate camera shake.
Powered by Camera Body. Does not require any additional power source.
Green Power Save Mode. Reduces battery consumption by reducing aperture diaphragm and image stabilization actuation during image preview.
Durable Metal Construction. It has a metal barrel construction, with both mounts being metal as well. It also offers a removable arca-swiss type plate for added lens support. Since the aperture blades change as you make adjustments, there is a “wide open button” which functions as the opposite of a depth-of-field preview button. Lastly, the interior of the adapter has a proprietary anti-reflection coating. Please Note. While this adapter can accept any EF/EF-S mount lens, including third-party manufacturers, we do not recommend using the Tamron lenses with this adapter. We’ve noticed aperture inconsistencies when used with this adapter, so use at your own risk. It DOES NOT work with the Tamron all-in-one zoom lenses. This adapter also has intermittent problems with the Zeiss ZE lenses and even 1st party Canon L series lenses. Again, use at your own risk.
