The Metabones Nikon G Lens to Blackmagic Cinema Camera with M4/3 Mount Speed Booster

The Metabones Nikon G Lens to Blackmagic Cinema Camera with M4/3 Mount Speed Booster allows you to mount any Nikon F-mount lens to the Blackmagic Cinema Camera Micro 4/3 Mount. Key features include:

Nikon G Compatibility. This adapter was designed specifically for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera Micro 4/3 Mount. It enables both G and non-G series Nikon F-mount lenses, including legacy non-AI & AI lens mounts, to be used on the BMCC. Due to the smaller sensor size, DX (crop-frame) lenses can also be used. Not for use with any Micro 4/3 camera or camcorder other than the BMCC Micro 4/3 or BMPCC!

Wider Focal Length & Increased Aperture. This BMCC version of the Speed Booster widens the focal length of the lens mounted by 0.64x, effectively reducing the overall sensor crop factor from 2.39x to 1.53×. Additionally, the adapter increases the maximum aperture of the mounted lens by 1 1/3 stops, with a maximum output aperture of f/0.80.

Aperture Ring. The adapter has it’s own 8-stop aperture ring for controlling Nikon G-series lenses without their own. The ring also has half-stop clicks, allowing you to set it to a specific aperture rather than a step-less ring that spins freely.

Sturdy Design with Built-In Tripod Foot. The aluminum barrel and brass mounts give it a solid feel, with an arca-swiss compatible tripod foot that lets you mount the adapter itself directly to a tripod. This ensures the weight of the lens dos not put additional stress on the camera’s mount.

What It Doesn’t Do. This adapter provides no electronic communication with the camera. Therefore, you will have not have autofocus and EXIF data will not be transferred. With that said, you can’t set the camera to auto and start shooting. Some manual exposure adjustments must be made.
