Why Stock Photos?
The short answer is that we use stock photos on some listings to save us time and to save you money. The longer answer is that we love to take photos of each and every lens, camera, and accessory, but doing so takes a lot of time and makes it difficult to get everything listed. So, we decided to compromise: take gorgeous photos of some things and charge a little more for them, and use stock photos for other items and charge a little less for those, all else equal.
The items listed here were tested thoroughly by our trained technicians. If they observed any significant flaws, you’ll see them detailed above. If the items listed here are exceptionally awesome, you’ll see that noted above too. Regardless, please remember this is a used item and it’s bound to have at least a microscopic imperfection.
If you're interested in purchasing an item with specific photos and ratings, we don’t blame you one bit. Please visit one of our Exposed! listings (if available), usually marked with a green badge. If none are currently available, by all means, contact us.

The Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR II
This is THE single-lens solution for DX (crop sensor) cameras, with a remarkable 11x range and Vibration Reduction technology that provides the equivalent of four stops of stabilization. Surprisingly sharp and contrasty for a superzoom, yet a very small, lightweight lens.
Roger's Take
And now it's been released in Version 2! This new model comes with a "zoom lock" button that keeps the lens from extending when you are walking around with it. And two ED elements . . . no wait, the old version had those too. But the new one has Super Integrated Coating and SWM motor . . . uh . . . just like the old version. Uhm . . . well . . . I guess that zoom lock switch is about the only difference. Nothing else has changed.
But like the original version, it’s a great walk-around lens. The range covers anything you’re likely to find, it’s surprisingly sharp for a 10x zoom, and it’s nice and small. It’s not going to be a good indoor lens unless you use a flash, though. And I have to admit, I did want a lock button for the zoom, seriously.
