Why Stock Photos?
The short answer is that we use stock photos on some listings to save us time and to save you money. The longer answer is that we love to take photos of each and every lens, camera, and accessory, but doing so takes a lot of time and makes it difficult to get everything listed. So, we decided to compromise: take gorgeous photos of some things and charge a little more for them, and use stock photos for other items and charge a little less for those, all else equal.
The items listed here were tested thoroughly by our trained technicians. If they observed any significant flaws, you’ll see them detailed above. If the items listed here are exceptionally awesome, you’ll see that noted above too. Regardless, please remember this is a used item and it’s bound to have at least a microscopic imperfection.
If you're interested in purchasing an item with specific photos and ratings, we don’t blame you one bit. Please visit one of our Exposed! listings (if available), usually marked with a green badge. If none are currently available, by all means, contact us.

The Nikon D5500 Camera
The Nikon D5500 is a high-resolution, novice-level DSLR and annual update to the previous generation D5300. Key features include:
High Resolution Sensor: The D5500 is based around the same 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor as the D5300. This sensor forgoes the low-pass filter, providing sharper images at the expense of possible moiré. It has the same Multi-CAM 4800DX autofocus sensor module, giving the user a fast, 39-point AF system with subject-tracking and subject-identification. It has a normal ISO range of 100-25,600 and a continuous frame rate of 5 fps for capturing fast action.
Flat Picture Profile: The D5500 offers nearly the same video features as the D5300, with up to Full HD 1080/60p recording possible. The one key addition is a flat picture profile for more longitude in the editing suite of your choice (not included). The built-in stereo mic with sensitivity adjustment enables quick and easy audio recording. For improved audio quality, you can plug in an external mic via 3.5mm input.
Upgrades Over D5300: Besides the flat picture profile, the D5500 now has a touchscreen version of the swiveling 3.2" 1.04 million-dot rear LCD that was found on the D5300. Also improved are the ergonomics, with a deeper handgrip and redesigned button layout. The battery life has also been greatly improved, now rated for up to 830 shots per charge. However, note that the battery-life increase was made possible by the removal of the built-in GPS module.Wi-Fi Enabled: The D5500 features the built-in wi-fi that was first seen in the D5300. It records images to SDHC/XC memory cards and uses a rechargeable EN-EL14a battery.
