Why Stock Photos?
The short answer is that we use stock photos on some listings to save us time and to save you money. The longer answer is that we love to take photos of each and every lens, camera, and accessory, but doing so takes a lot of time and makes it difficult to get everything listed. So, we decided to compromise: take gorgeous photos of some things and charge a little more for them, and use stock photos for other items and charge a little less for those, all else equal.
The items listed here were tested thoroughly by our trained technicians. If they observed any significant flaws, you’ll see them detailed above. If the items listed here are exceptionally awesome, you’ll see that noted above too. Regardless, please remember this is a used item and it’s bound to have at least a microscopic imperfection.
If you're interested in purchasing an item with specific photos and ratings, we don’t blame you one bit. Please visit one of our Exposed! listings (if available), usually marked with a green badge. If none are currently available, by all means, contact us.

The RED DSMC2 Touch 7-inch Ultra-Brite LCD
The RED DSMC2 Touch 7" Ultra-Brite LCD is an update to the RED DSMC2 Touch 7-inch LCD that increases monitor brightness by 6x and offers slightly increased contrast while reverting to a LEMO input. Key features include:
* 7-inch, 8-bit RGB, 4:4:4 progressive scan, capacitive multi-touch LCD
* 6 times brighter than the DSMC2 Touch 7" at 2200 nits
* Uses a LEMO RED LCD/EVF cable for camera communication
* Features 1/4-20" and 3/8-16" threaded holes for mounting
What’s Changed? The RED DSMC2 Touch 7" Ultra-Brite LCD is an update/redesign of the RED DSMC2 Touch 7-inch LCD, and they’ve changed a lot to make it a better fit for off-camera monitoring. The obvious is the 2200 nit LCD panel, but they’ve also swapped video input to the tried-and-true LCD/EVF LEMO cable and removed a built-in mounting solution. You’ll need an accessory arm to get the most out of this monitor rental.
RED Monitoring in Direct Sunlight. With the 6x bump in brightness, you’ll be able to monitor in sunlit locations with ease, and with more brightness comes a slight bump in contrast. The added brightness does raise the black levels slightly, so the standard DSMC2 Touch still has its place in studio shoots.
1/4-20 & 3/8-inch Mounting Holes. This monitor has a slew of 1/4"-20 and a couple 3/8"-16 threaded holes for use with accessory arms.
Compatibility. This monitor is only compatible with DSMC2 brains running firmware version 7.2 or newer. In addition to firmware compatibility, this monitor also uses a RED LEMO LCD/EVF cable for communication with the camera. We include a LEMO A adapter and 18" LCD cable which will work for must setups.Are we out of stock?
