Why Stock Photos?
The short answer is that we use stock photos on some listings to save us time and to save you money. The longer answer is that we love to take photos of each and every lens, camera, and accessory, but doing so takes a lot of time and makes it difficult to get everything listed. So, we decided to compromise: take gorgeous photos of some things and charge a little more for them, and use stock photos for other items and charge a little less for those, all else equal.
The items listed here were tested thoroughly by our trained technicians. If they observed any significant flaws, you’ll see them detailed above. If the items listed here are exceptionally awesome, you’ll see that noted above too. Regardless, please remember this is a used item and it’s bound to have at least a microscopic imperfection.
If you're interested in purchasing an item with specific photos and ratings, we don’t blame you one bit. Please visit one of our Exposed! listings (if available), usually marked with a green badge. If none are currently available, by all means, contact us.

The Sigma 19mm f/2.8 EX DN for Sony E-Mount
The 19mm f/2.8 EX DN is a wide-angle prime-lens option for Sony E-mount cameras and camcorders. It offers roughly a 28mm focal length (35mm-equivalent) that can be used for many different types of photography. Its linear AF motor provides quiet autofocusing for both still and video recording. While its f/2.8 aperture doesn’t allow for paper-thin depth of field at normal distances, its ability to focus as close as 7.87" does allow subject isolation at closer distances. Sigma designed the 19mm f/2.8 with three aspherical lens elements to minimize barrel distortion and field curvature, as well as an inner focusing system for keeping aberrations at bay. Like many other Sigma lenses, the 19mm also features their Super Multi Layer Coating to reduce ghosting and lens flare.
A very good wide angle lens. It’s far sharper than the Sony 16mm pancake. It’s not as small as the 16mm, but it’s smaller than most E-mount lenses and doesn’t look huge on an NEX camera (quite a bit smaller than the 18-55 kit zoom, for example). It’s also an amazingly good price. The bottom line is if you need a moderately wide angle lens on an E-mount camera, this is probably your best choice.
