Why Stock Photos?
The short answer is that we use stock photos on some listings to save us time and to save you money. The longer answer is that we love to take photos of each and every lens, camera, and accessory, but doing so takes a lot of time and makes it difficult to get everything listed. So, we decided to compromise: take gorgeous photos of some things and charge a little more for them, and use stock photos for other items and charge a little less for those, all else equal.
The items listed here were tested thoroughly by our trained technicians. If they observed any significant flaws, you’ll see them detailed above. If the items listed here are exceptionally awesome, you’ll see that noted above too. Regardless, please remember this is a used item and it’s bound to have at least a microscopic imperfection.
If you're interested in purchasing an item with specific photos and ratings, we don’t blame you one bit. Please visit one of our Exposed! listings (if available), usually marked with a green badge. If none are currently available, by all means, contact us.

The Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC for Nikon
The Tamron 70-300 f/4-5.6 Di VC USD for Nikon is a telephoto zoom lens that’s compatible with Nikon F-mount cameras. Key features include:
__High-Quality Optics.__ The optical design features one low-dispersion element and one extra-low dispersion element to help minimize chromatic aberrations while producing extremely sharp, high-contrast images.
__USD Autofocus System.__ An Ultrasonic Silent Drive motor provides quiet, accurate autofocus performance. It also enables full-time manual focus control without having to shift into a dedicated manual-focus mode.
__Four-Stop Vibration Compensation.__ The built-in four-stop vibration compensation minimizes the appearance of camera shake for sharper shooting in low-light conditions.
This is quite a nice lens if used for the right purpose. It’s extremely sharp (competitive with any 70-300mm lens on the market.) The vibration control is a full four stops and functions very well. But it does not have a panning mode, and you’ll have to turn it off if you want to pan or follow a moving target.
Autofocus is slow. Not unusably slow by any means, but certainly too slow for action sports. But then, that’s not what this type of lens is for. You might miss a shot or two if you’re trying to follow the kids around the yard or shoot a hummingbird, but it’s certainly not terrible.
