Why Stock Photos?
The short answer is that we use stock photos on some listings to save us time and to save you money. The longer answer is that we love to take photos of each and every lens, camera, and accessory, but doing so takes a lot of time and makes it difficult to get everything listed. So, we decided to compromise: take gorgeous photos of some things and charge a little more for them, and use stock photos for other items and charge a little less for those, all else equal.
The items listed here were tested thoroughly by our trained technicians. If they observed any significant flaws, you’ll see them detailed above. If the items listed here are exceptionally awesome, you’ll see that noted above too. Regardless, please remember this is a used item and it’s bound to have at least a microscopic imperfection.
If you're interested in purchasing an item with specific photos and ratings, we don’t blame you one bit. Please visit one of our Exposed! listings (if available), usually marked with a green badge. If none are currently available, by all means, contact us.

The Tiffen 82mm Graduated ND 0.6 Filter
The Tiffen 82mm Graduated 0.6 ND Filter is a graduated neutral-density filter that helps darken bright areas of your image. Key features include:
Selective Filtering. Sometimes you only want to, uh, neutrally densitize (I know that’s not a word, but bear with me) part of an image. This usually involves darkening the bright sky in a landscape shot without blacking out the foreground. You can combine an underexposed and overexposed image in Photoshop, of course, but that can be time consuming. You can use an HDR program to do it for you, but you might want a more natural look. This split ND filter allows you to get the shot you want in-camera.
Two Stops of Light Reduction. The Tiffen 82mm Graduated 0.6 ND Filter is just the ticket, and should be in every landscape photographer’s bag. The edges of this filter darken the image two stops, decreasing the dynamic range between the sky and the foreground. A feathered line gives you a natural-appearing transition between this filter’s dense edges and its clear center. This filter doesn’t affect your image’s coloration.High-Quality Build. Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting to precision metal rings.
