Why Stock Photos?
The short answer is that we use stock photos on some listings to save us time and to save you money. The longer answer is that we love to take photos of each and every lens, camera, and accessory, but doing so takes a lot of time and makes it difficult to get everything listed. So, we decided to compromise: take gorgeous photos of some things and charge a little more for them, and use stock photos for other items and charge a little less for those, all else equal.
The items listed here were tested thoroughly by our trained technicians. If they observed any significant flaws, you’ll see them detailed above. If the items listed here are exceptionally awesome, you’ll see that noted above too. Regardless, please remember this is a used item and it’s bound to have at least a microscopic imperfection.
If you're interested in purchasing an item with specific photos and ratings, we don’t blame you one bit. Please visit one of our Exposed! listings (if available), usually marked with a green badge. If none are currently available, by all means, contact us.

The Yasuhara Nanoha 5x Ultra-Macro for Sony E-Mount
The Nanoha 5x Ultra-Macro is an extreme macro lens for Sony E-mount cameras and camcorders. Thanks to microscope optics, users have 4x-5x macro capabilities for their compact, lightweight mirrorless systems. When shot at 5x, each pixel is recording roughly a single micrometer. The lens offers great corner sharpness, allowing high quality images of a rarely-seen part of this world. Its focus point is about 11mm when shooting at 5x, meaning a macro lens rail is almost certainly required for precise work. Since the aperture range is limited to f/11-32 in full-stop increments, there is a built-in LED lighting unit that provides even lighting. The LED light unit is powered by an included external USB power supply.
This lens is so much fun! While it's obviously designed for specific uses, it’s also really fun to find random objects to shoot extreme macro shots of. It provides surprisingly good image quality for such a low-cost specialty lens. Its slow aperture range means you’ll need a sturdy tripod, as the built-in LED unit gives enough light for 1/60–1/125 @f/11 exposure times at ISO 400. Since the focus point is so close, you’re pretty much limited to the LED unit being your only source of light. For the best image quality, you should definitely stop down to f/16-22. All in all, this lens makes me want to do macro work. When there’s downtime, and it’s in stock, I’m reaching for this guy.
